HDD in Sensitive Environments
Construction activities frequently have an adverse effect on the surrounding environments. CDS is constantly striving to improve practices which help protect the environment. HDD installations are perfect in sensitive environments particularly in stormwater outfalls, stream, river and esturary crossings where traditional open cut techniques are not viable. HDD helps to minimise excavations and ground disturbance while having a small construction footprint. Environmentally friendly drilling products as well as specialist mud programs and technicians reduce the risk to these sensitive environments. To improve sustainability CDS has continued to develop our ability to recycle drilling fluids which reduces our water and drilling mud usage.
